“From Stickers to Success”

Continuous learning and growth are essential for your overall well-being and quality of life. Personal development is a lifelong journey that will help you become better, happier, and more confident. It's about acquiring new skills and perspectives that can help you overcome challenges and approach your work positively.

Let me set the scene of how I became a speaker. It wasn't an easy road, but it was worth it.

A few years ago, I attended an education conference, and that's when I met a speaker who handed out stickers. The stickers were bold and read, "I'm a Successful A** Kicking Woman." Her session was inspiring and focused on building connections, but that sticker caught my attention. It spoke to me on a deeper level.

So, I mustered up the courage to approach her. I wanted to know how she got where she was and what it took to prepare for such a career. With a smile, she shared her journey with me and gave me valuable advice. And that, my friend, is how it all began.

That conversation started a connection that led to another, and then another, and before you knew it, doors were opening up. It made me rethink my goals and consider how I could grow in this area. It's incredible how one small sticker can have such a significant impact on your life.

So, how can you invest in your personal development? There are many ways; the key is to find what works for you. You could seek mentors or coaches, attend workshops and conferences, learn new things, and step out of your comfort zone. The goal is to challenge yourself, develop a growth mindset, and believe that your abilities can be developed through hard work and dedication.

To get started, set personal and professional goals and develop a plan for achieving them. Whatever you choose, ensure it aligns with your goals and is something you're passionate about.

During my journey, one of my coaches, Sharon Johnson, sent me a book by John Maxwell called "Put Your Dreams to the Test." Reading this book changed my perspective on achieving my dreams forever.

Personal development is a continuing journey; there is always room for improvement. Do not wait for opportunities to come your way; create them yourself! To explore more ideas and insights on your career journey, check www.multifamilymedianetwork.com for our latest blogs and podcasts.
